Community Speed Watch

Dear All,

As you may have seen in Waterhouse Moor, we have been doing a Community Speed Watch, with James Dickinson from Harlow Council's Community Safety Team and some of our member for the Resident's Association.

The speed watch happen on Thursday 16th April 2013 from 15:30 - 17:10. We watched 80 cars use the road, however we have stated as a Resident's Association, as it is Easter Holidays in schools, the traffic has been low and we may not caught anyone breaking the speed limit. (36 Mph stated by the scheme, but be aware that the road is 30 Mph).We will be doing more speed checks again over the next few weeks to review the speeding and with more traffic from schools.

The speed (in Mph) we recorded were, 32, 31, 30, 15, 31, 26, 23, 24, 15, 22, 29, 19, 31, 22, 22, 15, 20, 22, 15, 23, 22, 17, 14, 23, 22, 28, 17, 20, 27, 33, 27, 24, 23, 19, 18, 22, 27, 18, 22, 27, 18, 21, 23, 29, 21, 23, 24, 26, 17, 19, 23, 23, 23, 19, 24, 22, 18, 18, 24, 27, 30, 22, 29, 21, 24, 23, 26, 25, 28, 24, 24, 22, 23, 16, 20, 29, 21, 23, 24, 20, 21, 31, 27

The average speed we got was 23.06, so from this speed check on average, no one is breaking the speed limit. So for future knowledge, we be will conduct more check over the next few weeks. So let your neighbours and friends know to keep to the speed limit.

Kind Regards

Waterhouse Moor Residents' Association
