Spike in burglaries and vehicle crimes

Burglars seem to be breaking in through windows and doors at the rear of premises, where they are likely to be unseen. However, this must create noise, so please be alert and watch out for suspects using rear alleyways or going through side gates. Locking gates and using trellis or prickly planting to make it more difficult for burglars to get into rear gardens is one option. Another, and perhaps the best idea, is the use of intruder alarms.
